SOCCER TALK (8/16)

This past weekend was the start of the premiership, England's top soccer league. The season start with some great matches and some one sided games. This is where i name the winners and losers of the week. Losers are decided not based just on loses, it is also in terms if the team drew.

Winners
1. Chelsea: The blues started their title defense with a 6-0 win over West Bromwich. This puts them at the top of the table due to the goal advantage. If they keep Drogba healthy he may also be the top goal scorer this season.

2. Blackpool: They started their season in premiership with a win. Newly promoted teams usually don't get to a good start except when hull city did remarkable. These 3 points will help them.

3. Aston Villa: The villians started their season with a great 3-0 against Westham. This was a great start since many questioned how would the departure of Martin O'Neil would effect them. It seem that it has done nothing to change their play on the pitch.

4. Manchest United: The red devils started the season with a 3-0 win over newly promoted Newcastle. This win not only secured them 3 points but maintained the pressure on Chelsea as the red devils look to regain the title this year.

Losers
1. Manchester City: The citzens have done a great amount of spending this summer in hopes of winning trophies. They ended their first game with a 0-0 draw with the spurs. This does not help when a team has spent greatly. In the coming weeks they will face tougher opponents.

2. West Ham United: The hammers lost their first game 3-0. This result does not help Avram Grant who is trying to turn this team around. While much is not expected from them it seems only time will tell if Grant can help this team to glory.

3. Arsenal: The gunners started this season with a draw away from home to Liverpool. It doesn't help to only get a point when your opponent only has ten men on the field. Arsenal have started another season where they will not make a serious challenge for the title.

4. Tottenham Hotspur: They spurs season seems to have started with a slow start. They drew against Manchester City. The spurs may have done poorly but it seems that they will need to score if they hope to make it to the groups stages of the Champions League.


Final Thought: I feel that this weekend had some great goals and some great moments. Also the league race might get more interesting as the weeks go by. If Chelsea keep up the scoring don't be surprise to see Drogba at the top of the list.

Cinniminions = WIN

Good morning everybody!!

Well, I just went to IHOP this morning for a nice Sunday breakfast with my mom. OMG Cinniminions are the most amazing thing ever!!! Just as good as the movie was, Despicable Me's Cinniminions at IHOP are incredibly delicious. Like our waiter described them, they're like tiny doughy cinnamon buns drizzled with icing and colorful sprinkles. If you still don't agree with me, then read this description straight from the IHOP menu about them: " CinniMinions are diabolically-delicious, warm dough bites dusted with cinnamon sugar and drizzled with cream cheese icing." If that doesn't get you to try them then I dont know what will. So if you haven't tried them cinnaminions, you should. If you haven't been to an IHOP before...then....YOU CRAZY!!!

Why do suburban teenagers think they can become rappers?

Every time I listen to the radio it seems as if another idiot has been given a record deal. All of a sudden i hear that many teenagers what to become rapper(WTF?). I thought to myself what the hell would they rap about females, drugs, or money. Then I thought how many suburban teens sell crack on the corners and the answer is NONE! This makes a person wonder then what would they rap about. If you grew up in a rich suburb what are you suppose to rap about. Look i'm no hardcore thug but f*&k, if i'm buying an album it better not be about fake crap. All i'm saying is teens from rich suburbs should not think about a rap careers. They really haven't done anything.

The Inconvenient Truth

During this magnificent season of summer, many of today's youth receive a long delayed break from the Hell we call school.  Sure school is supposed to be fun from the learning and friends but is turned to a never ending river of boredom and monotonous work.  So when June comes along many rejoice over the fact that we don't have to do anything for three months.  During this time many commit their time to hanging out with friends, going to the pool or beach to soak up the sun and swim, or just plainly relax and have a lazy day of napping and doing nothing.  But as you know, there are those that are denied or reject all that is good about being lazy and having a carefree vacation.  You most likely know a poor soul that is trapped within the confines of  their house forced to study or forced to remain socially inactive.  You also most likely know a certain person that has the ability to experience the freedom but chooses not to over some pathetic reason of beating a certain boss or completing a dungeon in the virtual world.  I'm not saying that video games or some summer studying are bad, but to confine yourself into this when you know that the sun is shining outside and the outdoors are there for the exploring is just extremely unhealthy for the mind.  One must go on an adventure to discover oneself.  There are some people that refuse to go outside and play despite the fact that it is summer and they are in the prime of they're lives.  We all know that in the future we won't receive another chance to be so free because once we grow up we will be inside our cramp and dark cubicles or working for some corporate conglomerate.  Despite this there are still those that stay stuck inside either by choice or by force being unable to experience the season of youth and summer.  Sucks to be them since we all know there are no girls inside.

You're Kidding, Right?

If you are family guy fans, you may remember Peter Griffin's little segment "Grinds my Gears" where he rants about random things that really tick him off. Well I guess I'm going to do the same thing because I just ate Chick-fil-a and I feel like writing a blog.

( ^ no joke, they seriously look like this ) So...I was at the mall with my dad today and I saw this girl..about 8 or 9 years old, with a purse, sunglasses, high heels, and she was talking on a cell phone. And get this, she was by herself walking around. She was like a mini Paris Hilton or something. C'mon seriously, what 8 year old girl needs a purse for?? What's she gonna hold, monopoly money? I'm sorry little girl, but stores only accept money that are green and have the U.S presidents on em. Rainbow money won't get you very far.

Now, a cell phone I can sort of understand. Sure, for emergency purposes it's good to have one. But besides calling family and the emergency hotline, what good is it for? You gonna use it to call the little friends you have who own a cell phone. I swear when I was 8, all I really cared about was making sure the latest batman action figure was still in stock. Screw AT&T, that KB Toys had better be open. But then again I'm not a girl, so I'm not legible to say that owning a cell phone at age 8 was one of my priorities.

But the one thing that really ticks me off, is how parents let these little girls walk around the mall, by THEMSELVES. This isn't Candyland people, it's AMERICA. Times have changed. People went from selling ice cream in ice cream trucks, to abducting children in ice cream trucks. I think it's just plain stupid how people can be so careless with their children. Now, those child leashes I've seen around. Sure they look inhumane to be using on a child, but if the child is a runner, you better attach one of those things to him/her.

So the bottom line, I don't understand what it is with kids these days trying to act like adults at the age of 5. Enjoy your childhood, trust me, you'll want to treasure every moment. Nap time, play time, sleep time, eating time, watching tv and telling Swiper to stop swiping time....I'd take those choices over homework time, study time, stress out get gray hairs and become depressed time ANYTIME......*sigh* I guess times have changed, and I'm getting old.

Welcome to Idiosyncrasy!

Hello everybody. Just thought I'd say good afternoon. If you visited our blog before and are revisiting today, you may notice that we have had a title change. Nothing more. We are still the same people, same faces, same features. Not to worry, if you enjoyed our previous posts, there are certainly more to come.

Video game addicts

Most kids look forward to summer break, it gives them more time go out and play. This is not the case for all kids as some stay indoors and play video games. Each year video game publishers release a major game title, that hooks young boys onto the television more than porn. This is disturbing because in northern Virginia a young teenage boy has this problem. He plays for hours with minor breaks just to eat. His name will not be revealed but his problem is something that is becoming more common. He finds enjoyment in talking with strangers and make female characters. Yes, i know that is sick but that is not the worst he would rather have a poster of master chief than of Lucy Pinder. He not only plays for long periods of time but he also does not shower. That is sad I just wanted to inform the public that this is very real. On a Friday night he would rather play Shadowrun than watch a film. Remember if u dont know who Lucy Pinder is look her up!

OMG! DK COUNTRY RETURNS!!!

Ok, so after working on the design of our page and stuff (not done yet), i guess it's time for me to post a blog as well. Now, this is my first actual blog...not counting the first post i did.

So let's get started shall we. Ok, I'm gonna cut right to the chase, I AM PSYCHED for the new Wii DK game. I mean, I've been a fan of Donkey Kong games for as long i can remember. I recall playing Donkey Kong Land on my gameboy pocket, and this one level scared the crap out of me because this giant eel thing would chase you throughout the entire level once you swim past it. MY GOD, i screamed the entire time as I played that level.

But this new game coming up for the wii looks like it's going to be epic. I just hope the plot isn't as bad as DK Country was for the GBA. The only reason why I had to kill King K. Rool was cus he snuck into my banana hoard and stole all my bananas, if i remember correctly. C'mon DK, they grow in trees, and for goodness sake, they're floating in the air. But back on topic. So ok, it's still a side-scroller, like most of the DK games. But the main reason why I'm psyched for this game: 2 player co op action!!! (I love Diddy Kong). You could say it's similar to New Super Mario Bros Wii, except less players = less team killing. Just ask Javgo. 25 continues in one day...NEW RECORD!!! Actually, I don't think you can even team kill in DK Country Returns, which is good...it'll teach me to be a team player and not throw people into lava pits just because they stole my fire flower.

Yeah...sorry it's not much. Honestly, for my first blog I don't even know if I'm doing this right. But it looks good to me so I'm keeping it!!! I guess if you're just as excited for this game as I am, then check out the official trailer at IGN.com. (Link provided below in footer) I tried to post it on this blog but something went wrong and "an error occured". Sory about that. I guess that's it for now. I still need to work on the layout and stuff.....and maybe get some ice cream. I'm kinda hungry.

Why MW2 is an Overrated Piece of Crap

Since I don't know much about blogging other than being used to express one's own opinions and such, and since I play a shit load of video games (any real male teen in the US who says otherwise is talking SHIT!!!), I'm going to write about a very common comparison between the games: Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2.  

In todays day and age, shooters are among the most common form of extreme sport for those who are in withdrawal from actual sports.  Today many Xboxers and Playstation 3ers play a game called Modern Warfare 2.  I'm not saying that the core mechanics of shooting in this particular game is bad or that the multiplayer doesn't keep the average person from coming back for more; I believe that the game is extremely overrated  considering that a bunch of people call this the BEST GAME IN EXISTENCE.  I have to admit that this game is fun especially the coop and the split screen options.  Its a blast to go to a friends house and do 4 player split screen free-for-all and duke it out.  What the game lacks in my opinion is that those that play for extremely extended periods overkill those that just start.  For instance in the game a newbie starts out and goes head to head with a person with no life playing 18 hours of the game and is probably on his 3rd Prestige.  The noob is going to be obliterated since the kill streaks are no where near fair and the weapons and attachments aren't really head to head.  Its like a person with a knife and a pistol fighting against a person with night vision and M16.  I also don't like the fact that the game is primarily for solo people.  There is no emphasis on team work.  I play a match and the primary way to play is to go solo and camp at  spawn locations to get ad infinitum kills and get more kills with the overpowered killstreaks assists.  The company that makes this game is also terrible.  Oh, lets just charge $15 dollars on a DLC that has maps where 2-3 maps are ones you got from the previous game just because we know that there are millions of players out there.  This is the worst of capitalism and corporations.  

Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the other hand, is a great shooter that actually adds features that are innovative. Weapons are extremely balanced in this game and all serve a good purpose (minus M60 Fags).  The team work in this game is so tremendously done and heavily emphasized.  It is so well encourage to work in squads of four to take down the enemy.  Especially since you can spawn with your friends that may need some backup.  People that are noobs can easily go toe to toe with the pros since the only difference is skill in playing.  (except M60 Fags).  Team work is a big plus in my book cause multiplayer is about working together against other people or computers.  I also extremely appreciate the cool Physics system in the game. Its really realistic.  For farther distances you shoot higher up and is a lot more realistic than the 50 million bullets and Predator Missiles that rain down everywhere in MW2.  The Frostbite 2 engine is also super cool.  you can actually destroy whole structures.  Camping is stupid in buildings when you can bring the whole thing down with a RPG.  The battles with actually look like a battlefield when you see half broken buildings and craters everywhere.  The game includes vehicles like helicopters and ATVs to get across the vast distances.  Its great seeing a helicopter burning and people jumping out in parachutes.  The game turns twice as amazing as it is when you can pair some C4 and a UAV to cause havoc for you enemies.  Its just great planting 8 C4s on a UAV driving straight towards people to get some roadkills and then blowing it up on a base to rack in a bunch of points.  These things are what make this game magical.  The final thing I like to commend is the great services by EA and DICE for making some DLC for free.  There are 5 free VIP downloads that give players free DLC if you bought a new game.  Its a great way of promoting the game.  I also enjoy the coop Onslaught DLC and at least its not overpriced and not a rehash of old material.  

I believe that both games are great but deeply feel that MW2 is overrated since its the same as the first with some new stuff and they especially overcharged for rehashed DLC.  Its still a good game no doubt but it is so Overrated I can't look at it.  BBC2 on the other hand is great since a bunch of new stuff is added.  Its a peoples game considering it is very good to their loyal fans.  But honestly I think there are too many damn shooters out there.  Come on and make some other games cause in reality most shooters are the same.
